Beit Tikvah

Beit Tikvah is a warm, diverse, and egalitarian Reconstructionist Jewish congregation. We take a progressive approach to Jewish life, integrating deep respect for traditional Judaism with the insights of contemporary life.

They approached AmDee to update their website design and update their branding, including creating a new logo.

Challenges

Beit Tikvah recognized that their site presented challenges to the user right from the home page including:

  • Not responsive across devices
  • It had a confusing menu
  • There was too much text

 

The Beit Tikvah staff realized it was:

  • Difficult to update and keep current
  • Members couldn’t easily find upcoming events
  • Constituents weren’t signing up for their newsletter as the process was complicated and confusing.

Solution

Beit Tikvah was looking to provide an improved and more cohesive experience for their constituents carrying over from how they operated their services within the church. 

AmDee:

  • Created a concise and clean theme  that promoted a balance of images and text
  • Studied their existing user flow and proposed a new menu structure. 
  • We made recommendations to promote items to the home page for improved access to most important content
  • Designed a new logo using symbols and colors that were relevant and important to them
